- 2 years 7 months
Special Olympic volunteers ride from Portland to Mt. Hood Meadows on a bus with the Athletes and back, every other weekend. We help them to get their ski gear on; we get them to and from the ski lift; we make sure to secure them on the chair lift by using our ski pole as a seat belt. We carry water if the athlete needs water to prevent a seizure; we insure they have lunch and snacks, but mostly we just ski and have fun.
