🔍 Here are the top metrics I'm scrutinizing for our Partnership Team as we wrap up Q2 & head into H2:1️⃣ Active Sales Pipeline: Monitoring current sales opportunities to understand any vulnerabilities and new pipeline requirements to support full H2 goals (i.e., leaving enough time for net-new pipe to close in time ⏱ )2️⃣ Active Lead Funnel: Evaluating the health of our lead funnel and its capacity to generate quality opportunities fast enough to support H2 pipe-gen/revenue goals. 3️⃣ Past 90-Day Trends: Analyzing trends in top-of-funnel (TOFU) velocity, sales pipeline growth, and the exit rate of deal pipelines to understand Lead > Deal > Customer funnel dynamics (e.g., perhaps TOFU is popping but nothing is closing)4️⃣ Average Deal Sizes: Tracking changes in deal sizes to identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell & inefficiencies in unlocking upmarket deal ops from partners (e.g., drop in ENT-leads driven by 20% QoQ 😨 )5️⃣ Cycle Lengths: not just time to close for sales ops, but time to convert lead to deal, time to onboard partner, etc7️⃣ Per Partner Trends: Segmenting lead and sales pipeline metrics by partner type (channel, ISV, platform, etc) and per-partner, to understand dynamics of our Partner Portfolio8️⃣ Partner Manager Activity Levels: Correlating partner manager activities with TOFU activity to identify leading indicators of success.9️⃣ Partner Inbound Demand: Measuring inbound interest via our website (WWW) to gauge market demand and refine our outreach strategies.🔟 PTO (Vacation) Days Used: Making sure the team is taking sufficient time off to recharge their precious batteries 🔋 So fired up to to attack H2 with actionable insights and a renewed focus! 🚀What metrics are you looking at? 👀 #Partnerships #GTM Partnership Leaders

Thanks for question Bryan Williams Candidly I use HubSpot as source of truth for basically 95% of data use casesIt’s way better for data integrity if you just architect everything inside your CRM custom to your partnering data needs, and as Hubspot has quickly matured on product side, it’s been possible to basically run my entire partner program back end (the O/S if you will) in Hubspot 🙏

Great focus on Partner manager activity levels. Also, adding a real time feedback loop for partner managers to share insights and challenges could be a game changer too & this way, you can quickly adapt strategies and stay agile in response to new trends. Thanks for the share

Insightful Chris, curious how do you have 1 x dashboard or not to measure this? I've been playing around with Databox to consolidate our key metrics rather than silos between CRM / PRM and/or what looks like leave balance elsewhere in your instance.

The 1st Shopify Editions event lived up to the hype, with plenty of exciting takeaways & questions for #Ecosystem Partners, including:1️⃣ Managed Markets - big boost for cross-border commerce; which we know is a major trend right now as top retailers continue to test new market expansion (e.g., Marc Jacobs in GER/France, Allbirds in EU/Asia). This is another smart move by Shopify in knocking down top objections for alternative platforms as they aim to simplify international sales for end customers & merchants. 2️⃣ Search & Discovery - Shopify is taking a big step forward in helping merchants achieve highly personalized site experiences tailored to individual customers through the addition of metafields to customer object. While a big win for merchants & end shoppers, this will make things spicy in the search/personalization App Category, but as always, this will likely spur innovation faster 🔥 3️⃣ Built for Shopify Apps - Shopify is promising that Apps meeting their highest QA standards will gain increased visibility and promotion (i.e, more GTM commitment). This is a BIG move from Shopify & while Ecosystem Partners are plenty intrigued, it's clear there are key outstanding questions about lift required vs expected ROI on this one 🤔 I'm looking forward to wrapping up this great week tonight with Partners; hope to see you around in Toronto!#Shopify #Ecommerce #Retail

As we wrap up the 3rd Q of our Partnership Team's journey together, I am so inspired by what our tenacious team has accomplished. Anyone who has built a bonafide GTM channel from 0 -> 1 knows just how hard it is to build an engine in a short timeline and with limited resources. Fortunately we have the greatest resource of all in spades: supreme talent and togetherness.I am in awe of what passionate people who love working together can do when the challenge and stakes are the highest. What has helped us grow quickly?▶ be metric oriented (no fluffy KPIs/quotas), keeping eyes on pipeline $$$▶ crystal clear Role & Responsibilities aligned to incentives▶ #buildinpublic, share successes & failures to accelerate TEAM innovation▶ obsess over value creations: customers > partners > company > ourselvesSo grateful for this team, and am wishing all my friends a great finish to Q2!#Partnerships #Growth #SaaS #GTM

What a week spent at our Shenzhen AfterShip office in China! 🇨🇳 The leadership team was locked in a conference room all week to debate the most important decisions facing the company over the next 1-2 years. It took 50 hours of discussion, but we were able to make 2 critical decisions that will heavily influence our short and long term vision. It was an honour to participate in such important conversations with highly talented and motivated colleagues spanning all major departmental functions. The future is burning bright for AfterShip's customers, partners, and employees, and I'm thrilled to get back to work to put strategy into action 🧗♀️ 🏔 🚀 P.s. special shoutout to the incredible People team at our SZ office who take hospitality to the highest level 🤗

Thrilled to announce the formal launch of the AfterShip Partnership Program"Huh...AfterShip already has a partner program, no?" 🤔 Not quite. There is big difference in partnering with companies and having a framework (program) to support partners long term objectives. We've spent the last 6 months building out the team, processes and relationships to achieve a bonafide program framework that can support our partners (and their customers') largest ambitions. Our Program clearly defines what partners can expect in the way of:▶ resources (technical support, MDF, co-marketing)▶ access (direct POC, exec alignment, early API access, dev support)▶ lead generation (prioritized referral support & access to AEs/CSMs)▶ merchant support (existing customers, open opportunities, prospects)By only partnering with companies that can *really* invest in supporting shared customer outcomes and mutual business growth, we will maintain sufficient resources to support the few, strategically chosen partners who we are placing long term bets on.Why partner with AfterShip?▶ 18K customers (we present large TAM to you)▶ global company (GTM across multiple regions together)▶ 70% R&D employees (we ship faster than anyone; period)▶ lead prioritization (we employ roles where quota = referrals to YOU)▶ access => extremely "partner friendly" customer success & sales org who EMBRACE partners enabling their teams (not gate-keeping)▶ A+ POCs not just in partner manager roles, but also in partner marketing, partner enablement, etc (we can be MORE creative in how we GTM together)If this is action you want a piece of, please DM me to find out how to get started.#Partnerships #Ecommerce #SaaS
